Athena Swan drop in session WBH foyer Tuesday 7th Nov 10-1130am
Take action to address gender inequality
All staff are invited to the ‘Athena Swan action plan drop-in session‘ taking place on Tuesday 7 November, 10.00-11.30am, Walter Bower House Reception. Come along and give your comments on our proposed actions over some tea/coffee and cake.
Athena Swan is a national charter mark that recognizes the advancement of gender equality in higher education. The University of St Andrews was awarded a Bronze Athena Swan award in 2018 and we are currently preparing an application for a Silver award.
As part of the application, the University are developing an action plan which will support greater inclusivity for students and staff of all genders around key priority areas. We want to ensure that everyone has an opportunity to give their views.
Please come along and have a look at what we are proposing. You can also ask a question or share your insights and thoughts on advancing gender equality at St Andrews with some members of the institutional Self-Assessment Team who have been developing the application.
