Introducing Outlook Newsletters to share staff updates

Bethany Reid
Tuesday 7 April 2026

Many teams across the University rely on newsletters to keep staff informed about projects, updates and upcoming work. A new feature within Microsoft 365 — Outlook Newsletters — is being introduced as a simple, structured way to create and share these updates.

In this session, colleagues from IT and Internal Communications will:

  • Introduce Outlook Newsletters and how it works
  • Explain how to request access and get set up
  • Share guidance on creating effective, well-structured newsletters
  • Outline how branding, accessibility and distribution will be supported
  • Explain how to manage subscriber lists using distribution groups
  • Whether you’re already producing a newsletter or considering starting one, this session will help you understand how the tool can support communications across your School or Unit.

To find out more, come along to meeting room 5 (open-sided room) in Walter Bower House on Wednesday 8 April at 11am.

If you’d like a calendar reminder, please message Bethany (bcvm1) on Teams.
