What’s new in Teams

Monica Cecil
Monday 20 April 2026

Microsoft Teams is updated regularly, with small changes that can improve how staff work day-to-day. New features and interface updates are often introduced quietly which means useful improvements that make life easier can be missed.

In this session, we’ll discuss:

  • Updates to drafting messages, making it easier and faster to write and edit content
  • Improvements to screen sharing, including smoother sharing and clearer controls
  • Enhanced meeting controls and recording features for better meeting management
  • Usability improvements such as search in settings and improved autocorrect
  • New emoji updates and faster ways to navigate chats and channels

To find out more, come along to meeting room 5 (open-sided room) in Walter Bower House on Wednesday 22 April at 11am. If you need a visitor pass or would like a calendar reminder, please contact Monica (mcc28).
